Trust Circles

We offer Trust Circles for adolescents—a monthly space for young people to express and explore their emotions openly. Whether offline or virtual, these circles bring together 8-10 participants in a safe, brave, and non-judgmental environment.

For the past 5-6 years, we’ve created these circles as a compassionate space where adolescents can engage in honest conversations, even about the uncomfortable topics that are often difficult to discuss elsewhere. Here, trust is central, and every voice is valued.

The Trust Circles that run for 1.5 hrs are designed to help participants build emotional resilience, develop self-awareness, and form meaningful connections with peers. Each session is held with care, fostering an atmosphere of understanding and deep listening. Participants engage in various art modalities, discussions, activties to explore different topics. They listen to each other, learn from their peers and also form trusting bonds.

Join us in this nurturing environment where trust and compassion come together to create lasting growth and support.

Personal Therapy / Counseling Sessions for Adults

We offer personal therapy and counseling sessions designed specifically for adults. These sessions provide a safe and brave space where you can explore your emotions, challenges, and personal growth in a supportive, non-judgmental environment.

Our approach is client-centric, utilizing art-therapy modalities alongside trauma-informed and queer-friendly practices. We deeply believe in the power of deep listening to foster healing and understanding.

We honor your culture, belief systems, and spiritual practices, ensuring that our sessions are culturally sensitive and informed by your unique experiences. When you’re ready, we gently introduce elements of play, inner child work, and deeper emotional exploration to support your journey toward healing and self-discovery.

This is a space where your voice, your story, and your healing are valued and respected.

Personal Therapy/Counseling Sessions for Adolescents

Our adolescent therapy sessions at Sankalpa begin with co-creating achievable goals, ensuring that each young person feels actively involved in their journey. These sessions offer a safe and brave space where adolescents can explore their feelings and experiences openly, supported by a client-centric, trauma-informed, and queer-friendly approach.

We use art-therapy modalities and deep listening, creating a space that honors not only the culture and belief systems of the families but also respects the adolescent’s unique journey through physical, psychological, identity, and relationship changes.

Our work explores important themes such as:

  • Fitting in v/s belonging
  • Trust and relationships
  • Bullying and body image issues
  • Interpersonal conflict
  • Changing bodies
  • Anxiety
Through a compassionate and creative approach, we help adolescents figure out coping strategies to navigate these challenges. We incorporate play, movement, and creativity into the sessions, allowing them to engage in ways that feel natural and empowering as they explore their evolving mind and body.

SEL Workshop for Teachers

Our Social-Emotional Learning (SEL) workshop for teachers is designed to foster deeper self-understanding, equipping educators with the tools to enhance their emotional intelligence and create more supportive classroom environments. Through a blend of self-reflection and introspective practices, this workshop helps teachers develop a better understanding of their own emotional states, strengths, and areas for growth.

Aligned with CASEL’s SEL competencies, the workshop focuses on enhancing three key areas:

  • Self-Awareness: Teachers will learn to identify and articulate their emotions, values, and personal goals. They will gain insight into how these influence their teaching practice and interactions with students, fostering authenticity and connection in the classroom.
  • Self-Management: Teachers will develop strategies to manage stress, set personal and professional goals, and demonstrate resilience in the face of challenges. By mastering these skills, they will create a calm and focused presence for their students.
  • Responsible Decision-Making: Educators will practice making thoughtful, reflective decisions that consider their own well-being as well as that of their students, promoting a positive, ethical, and inclusive school culture.

Key Outcomes:

By the end of the workshop, teachers will be equipped to model these social-emotional practices, cultivating a classroom environment that is not only emotionally intelligent but also supportive and inclusive. Through their own growth, they will inspire students to do the same.
